Practicing for Sunday football.

Great Grandpop. Pull up a chair son have I got some stories for you.

Uncle Tim and Hank

I'm not sure who was more curious....Tim or Hank? Tim soon realized that Hank can pack a punch when he felt the good vibrations from down below.
Hey Tim how does it feel to be an uncle?
Cheers,
Big Papa

Monday Morning

Hank chillin' in the kitchen. It almost appears that he was giving me a thumbs up but I think he was signaling for food.

January 26th, 2007 - 3:00am

Woke up at 3am feeling a little funny today. Went down stairs to sleep on the couch and had what I thought was a contraction. Hmmm...that doesn't feel so good. About ten minutes later felt another one. Realized that this might be it but saw no reason to wake up daddy yet. I didn't want to be that mother...the one that shows up at the hospital, panicked, way too early only to be sent home. How much does it have to suck to get to the hospital only to be sent home? Settled on the couch to wait and see what happened. Around 7am starting to feel very unfunny. Contractions suddenly coming faster and harder.

Guess its time to wake Matt up. Hey Matt, I think he's coming, you might want to get up and take a shower. By the time I get out of the shower contractions are coming 3 minutes apart. Things seem to be happening faster than I expected. We finish packing the hospital bag which we had never finished packing, hopped in the car and proceeded to sit in the usual morning rush hour traffic on Rt. 32 on the way to the hospital. At the hospital by 8:15, hadn't finished doing my pre-registration either of course but at least all the paper work was filled out. Mommy and daddy may be procrastinators but clearly Henry is an early bird. Get up stairs to labor and delivery and the nurse can't tell if I'm dilated at all and there is some talk of sending me home...for pete sake. We hang out and wait for the doctor to come and assess the situation and luckily by the time she comes in, I'm dilating and they are going to keep me. Two hours of contractions later its time for some relief and Dr. Paine comes in to deliver the epidural (yes, the Anesthesiologist is named Dr. Paine). Sweet relief. We take a little nap waiting for things to move along further and around 5pm its time to push. Henry wants out. At 6:04 that evening with one last push he flies into the arms of the doctor with daddy doing a lot of smiling and just about giggling. I myself couldn't bare to watch. They plop this screaming bundle covered in goop on my chest and he was the cutest thing I'd ever seen.
